Thank you for your powerful writing. I feel like the one who is slipping into despair anbout my life, isolation, and caring too much about the world, with no one near to call me back to life. I will listen for the wisdom inside me and write a message to myself.
Yes, come, come, come back to life, go see a museum, a botanical garden, lay a blanket down and look at the sky, take a hot back. Catch the fire, come on back! Do write a message to yourself from your loving self.
I was just thinking a couple of days ago how I feel that I have become a bit too committed to this grief. and in the past year plus, unable to fully let go into joy. And then I was thinking how this exact thing serves empire. It serves the interests of those who would have us the people drown in despair, be too exhausted to resist, too drained to create. Joy too is a form of resistance, it too is evidence of living, of life. Thank you Abe for your beautiful reflections, this much needed reminder, that poem (!), and these invitations for contemplation. 🙏🏾
ahhh, thank you for shining a light on that very thing. this serves empire!!! and earth herself wants us to drink up the beauty, joy and rest, so we can protect and defend her (who is also us.) thank you for your words.
Absolutely terrific!! This is beautiful and necessary. I’m going to link to this in a post we’re doing at The Abbey on being awake in the current moment. Thank you!
Thank you for the reminder that it's neccesary to took away for a while.
we won’t make it if we don’t 🌷
